WattPorch is free to read. To pay for research and hosting, some pages contain affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a commission. The price you pay stays the same.
How it works
- We may join affiliate programs run by retailers and brands that sell solar kits, batteries, power stations and generators, as well as Amazon Associates.
- When a page contains affiliate links, we say so near the top of that page, before the first paid link.
- Product buttons and product boxes that link to a store may be paid links.
As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases once we are accepted into the Amazon Associates program.
What commissions do not change
- Our recommendations. We pick products by fit, specifications, safety certifications, price and real-world limits. A higher commission never moves a product up a list.
- Our honesty about limits. We tell you when a product is the wrong choice for your situation, even if it means no commission.
- Free products. If a brand ever sends us a product, we will say so on the page that mentions it.
